This competition, originally for Men and Women, was devised and introduced by Doug Eagger,
long-serving Secretary of the D.C. The D.C. has since added Veterans and Juniors to the awards and best team parformance is recognised. It is a points-based system for riding a minimum number of sporting course time trials promoted in the District each year. Fastest rider in each event receives 150 points, the second fastest 149 and so on. In 2004 the D.C. purchased 4 new Cups, one for each category, from funds generated by the D.C. Levy. The Trophy Cups are held by the winners for 12 months and they also receive engraved RTTC Medallions. The top 10 Men and Veterans along with all Women and Junior finishers receive CTT District Award Certificates.
